Wi-Fi video doorbell smartphone and tablet application
As its first attempt to integrate the world of analogic and digital video doorbell solutions by Elvox into its own home automation technology, Vimar decided to make its audio and video signals as well as users commands remotely available, especially through mobile devices.
In 2014 21am was consequently asked to design a user interface enabling to answer a video doorbell as it were a common phone call, to get access to any resources of the system, to exploit all its video cameras to check what’s going on outside.
The mobile application was designed and developed adopting a very efficient process, so that it was possible for Vimar to show a first beta version at the most important fair for its market segment, Light + Building in Frankfurt; beside making it easy to exploit all the system features remotely, the user interface had to show its innovative value in a quick and attractive way, applying the same rules of interaction of the mobile world, and help Vimar in evaluating also the market feedback. 21am managed to achieve a simple and smart interaction architecture, coping also with the constraints of keeping the coding easy.
